THE PRIVATE PA CLUB'S CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE 2022

Diptyque, London

One of our Christmas essentials here at the Private PA club is a Diptqyue candle in our favourite sensual winter fragrance; Tuberose. So, there's no surprise that this is number one on our list.

When our fire goes on, so does the Diptqyue and with its simply epic scent throw, one candle lasts us from September to December - just in time to receive a new one in our stocking! This year we're hoping for a 300g edition in sumptuous cherry red glass.

Did you know that to fragrance an entire room you only need to burn a luxury candle until the surface layer has melted? At this point you can carefully snuff it out, enjoy the aroma and the wax will set perfectly ready to be lit again next time.

We don't know anyone who wouldn't be delighted with a Diptique candle in their stocking this year - it's our go-to to spread a little festive luxury.

Liberty also carry the full range.

The Dyson Airwrap

Next up in our Christmas gift list, we're talking cutting edge, luxury design...but make it functional.

The Dyson Airwrap has been on our beauty radar since its release in 2018 and this year's launch of the Special Gift Edition Airwrap Complete is no disappointment.

Available in five stunning colourways, this version comes with all the attachments you need for the hottest styles as well as a neat storage box and travel clutch for your adventures.

The styles may be hot but the low heat engineering promises the perfect curl with minimal damage so we can ease off on the Olaplex (which is fab, by the way - we adore No.3) and keep our signature shine.

The Airwrap makes the perfect gift for any good hair day fans - and by our logic that means everyone. Our only worry? With lots of parties to attend, we might not be able to wait until Christmas to get our hands on one.

Which colour, you say? Vinca Blue and Rosé all the way for us.

Ex Nihilo

'Nothing brings to life again a forgotten memory like fragrance.' Christopher Poindexter

...and no Christmas would be complete without a bottle of luxury perfume gifted to us by a loved one...or ourselves. Since our teenage years we have relished unboxing the tell-tale department store gift wrapped package amidst our present pile - releasing the latest captivating fragrance which would mark a new wave of memories for the coming year. Our tastes may have changed but our dedication to good perfume has not.

Like many of our clients we have moved away from stereotyped luxury fragrances in favour of the refined and unusual blends crafted by innovative Parisian perfume house: Ex Nihilo. From the Latin, 'out of nothing', Ex Nihilo's manifesto is to express its own conception of personalised luxury; combining the finest in raw materials with expert knowledge to reconceptualise perfume as we know it.

With six distinct collections to roam; each promising an edgy, 'disruptive' mix of notes to deliver us to olfactory heaven; a visit to Ex Nihilo's counter in Harrods will doubtlessly epitomise a successful Christmas shopping trip to anyone who passes the threshold.

Experts will guide clients towards perfect scents for their loved one and their signature service offers tweaks to an existing blend to create that elusive perfect match. We're currently obsessed with floral heart and spicey green undertones of Rose Hubris from the Initiale collection.

Be warned though, you may come away with a few more beribboned bags than you expected to - it really is a mesmeric collection.
